SNC Profile of the Month: DEMZ
"LIFE IS SHORT. ENJOY EVERY MOMENT." - Madema Geñorga Flores
This is a very special post because September happens to be our featured member's birthday month... So before reading on and discovering the wonderful lady that she is, go on and send the warmest of greetings her way... because today she celebrates her 27th birthday! :)
Ever wonder who coined and christened this group "Saturday Night Club"? Ever met anyone who's so kenkoy and kulit without even trying? Ever seen anyone who you think is a snob but who later on will turn out to be one of the friendliest people you'll know? And, have you ever known anyone who is so in love with life, she treasures and cherishes every moment of it?
Meet SNC's dearest "ninang", MADEMA GEÑORGA FLORES. Oh, no one calls her "Madema", at least none of her closest friends does. Everyone calls her "DEMZ" ~ short and sweet, just like her. ;) Any attempt to describe this pretty lass - with justice - will surely fail, for one cannot simply cage or put in a box the many-faceted personality she possesses without missing a single thing. So when asked to write a brief description of herself, this is what she said: "MUKHANG MAARTE PERO COWBOY TALAGA. TRANSPARENT. I LOVE CHALLENGES. A FIGHTER, DOESNT GIVE UP EASILY. COOL UNDER PRESSURE - LONG PATIENCE. I GET EASILY ANNOYED BUT IT TAKES A LOT BEFORE I GET ANGRY. AND WHEN I GET ANGRY, TALO-TALO NA. TAKLESA. MASAYANG KASAMA. SWEET. TAHIMIK SA UNA PERO PAG NASIMULAN NA ANG DALDAL, TULOY-TULOY NA. MATIGAS ANG ULO. MATARAY. VERY SOFT-HEARTED, JUST DONT BETRAY MY TRUST." Did you notice she said "pag nasimulan na ang daldal, tuloy-tuloy na"? That's one of the main things you'll love about Demz ~ in the company of her friends, the sunshiney part of her personality surfaces. Bubbly, full of antics and stories, warm... only the "tip of the iceberg", if you may. Underneath that facade though, is a person whose depth and passion run so deep, very few people can ever comprehend. That makes her all the more unique, and, yes, one in a million.
Golden nuggets of wisdom from this self-declared achiever... in grade 1, hehe! According to her, among her achievements would be earning the top honors in her 1st grade class... Everyone will beg to disagree though, because although she considers herself a bum right now, everyone also knows that in a couple of years' time, she will be one of those standing before the Chief Justice, reciting her attorney's oath and making Lyceum of the Philippines a very proud alma mater. In the meantime however, when she's not on an out-of-town trip or gimmick with the rest of SNC, she immensely finds contentment in tinkering with her PC and photoshop, food tripping, shopping, reading books, listening to music, watching movies, and... mang-asar. :) Oh, and that' s not all. She might have forgotten to say it, but her being one of SNC's resident photo-ganids does not really stop there - her interest in photography is worth mentioning, too. The kikay in her loves clothes, accessories, and shoes, while the computer geek Demz is addicted to blogging and html tags. Caught a snag fixing your blog template, or need help with html? She's just the person to ask. :)
